A Virtual Caffeine Boost for Your Business Marketing Strategy

Posted on 28. Aug, 2009 by admin in chiropractic marketing

Television commercials, newspaper advertisements, and radio announcements have long served as the staple mediums for business owners to reach potential customers. The rise of the Internet has made an entirely new form of communication available to the masses. Blogs, websites, emails, news feeds, and podcasts can serve as a virtual jolt of energy for your business marketing endeavors.

Article marketing is one of the few marketing methods that seamlessly made the leap from paper to screen. Business owners have long sought potential publication opportunities to gain exposure. Before the Internet, however, most of these opportunities were in local newspapers and magazines that had limited readership. The Internet has made the possibilities for business owners to reach customers limitless. New websites, newsletters, and email subscriptions are born everyday, offering an infinite amount of promotional niches.

Article distribution services have proven to be particularly successful in connecting business owners with content publishers. “The Internet is all about content,” says Chris Ellington, CEO of Article Marketer. “Content publishers are hungry for information that will engage their audiences. By providing this, our authors are making immediate and lasting connections.

These connections offer an entirely different marketing opportunity. Businesses can reach their target market through social networking rather than traditional advertising. Publishers can find exactly the kind of content they are looking for, and the Web becomes a real tool to connect readers worldwide.

That satisfaction experienced by both writers and the content site owners has propelled the article marketing business to World Wide Web success in recent years. Darryl Hupfer, Managing Director of Actuate Companies, LLC, a Boston-based marketing group with extensive article marketing experience proclaims that “writers publish an article or two, then publish one or two a week, from that point forward. If this process wasn’t successful in generating sales and profits, we’d note an obvious decline in the number of articles published. That’s simply not happening. We anticipate that article marketing will continue to expand as digital content demand increases. It’s a great media opportunity, and national media is seeing the impact and the results.”

The response from the national media has solidified what the experienced article marketing experts have long proclaimed: article marketing is one of the few ways a business owner can gain legitimate exposure for a company without making a considerable financial sacrifice.

As the article marketing pioneers continue to credit business success to their article marketing campaigns, more novice and seasoned business owners have increasingly begun to subscribe to this method of promotion. Resulting from this phenomenon is the explosion of available content. Paralleling the increased output of content is the demand for such content in the form of newsletters, websites, and other publications.

Content site owners, entrepreneurs, and consumers alike benefit from the surge in article marketing efforts. While business owners enjoy increased site traffic and sales, consumers are offered quality information on myriad subjects without spending a dime. The more voices willing to share information about subjects they are truly knowledgeable about, the better. Everybody wins!

Article marketing will likely continue to see success in the caffeinated colloquium that is today’s business market. The Internet is here to stay and as long as there are potential customers using it, there will be companies marketing to them through article publication.

SEO Consulting: What is It? Do you Need It?

Posted on 28. Aug, 2009 by admin in seo

SEO Consulting (SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization) is the current buzz occupation in the Internet Business today. The demand for SEO consulting firms or individuals (who are called seo Consultants) is driven by the reality of the Internet that there are literally billions of websites that have sprouted in cyberspace since the world wide web inception, with millions more entering everyday. While a large chunk of these websites are personal sites that the owner puts up for his own satisfaction, a rapidly increasing number of them have been put up for a commercial purpose.

The biggest challenge you will face as a business website owner (which any SEO consulting firm will tell you) is finding ways and means for many visitors to come and visit your site, thus increasing your chances of generating business. One way you can achieve this objective is to spend on traditional and/or on-line advertising and promotions to build brand awareness. While this is unarguably an effective strategy, not only is it quite expensive, it is also not targeted, i.e., it does not select the market that you are really interested in communicating to.

Fortunately, SEO consulting firms (or individuals) will tell you, there is a more practical and effective way to attract the right market to your Internet business website, which takes advantage of three Internet facts: (1) Most, if not all, Internet users go to cyberspace for INFORMATION; (2) In seeking information, the common first step for an Internet user to take is to go to a search engine website, enter the keywords for his search, and click on one of the recommended sites spewed out; and, (3) there are only a few popular search engines on the Internet that searchers go to (SEO consulting firms know the ones that really count and keep up with their algorithm).

To get targeted visitors, therefore, you need to find a way (either by yourself or through the expertise of an SEO consulting company) to get the popular search engines to list your website as close to the top of their list based on the most common search keywords entered by the searchers that refer to information that your website provides. Performing this “trick” successfully is what Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is all about.

In a nutshell, SEO is a set of strategies implemented on a website that, when “crawled through” by the search engine “spiderbot”, gets evaluated with a high relevance score so that it gets listed high in the results based on the keywords entered. Different SEO consulting groups apply different strategies to achieve this objective but will invariably use some of the strategies listed below:

a. Keyword Selection – In registering your site with the search engines, SEO consulting firms will choose the keywords that: (1) your website’s information is responsive to; and, (2) the user will most likely enter when he is searching for the information you have.

b. Meta tag Optimization – This is another common strategy used by SEO consulting firms. Meta tags are normally found in the remarks page of your HTML code. SEO consulting firms will embed as many of the responsive keywords here because the search engine “spiderbot” always “crawls” through them.

c. Content Optimization – SEO consulting firms will make sure that your website has a lot of information (either on the website itself or in the files that it hosts) that contains the relevant keywords.

d. Link Building – A SEO consulting team will use their resources and databases to build an arsenal of one way inbound links from relevant and content rich sites.

When do you know that you need the help of an SEO consulting firm or individual? Here are a few tips to help you decide:

• If you have experience in SEO, by all means do it yourself and save some money. If, however, you do not know where to start, it always makes sense to contract the services of an SEO consulting firm so that you do not have to go through the “hit and miss” ordeal.

• If you are not in a hurry and would like to let your website grow in popularity over time, then you can afford to “wing it” by first building your website, telling (or emailing) your friends to pay your site a visit and refer it to their friends. In case, however, time is critical for you, then an SEO consulting firm might be your best option.

• If you are running on a shoestring budget, then you really don’t have much of a choice but to optimize your website by yourself or seek financing if you are serious about making it. On the other hand, if your website has a well-thought of business plan with budget allocations for promotions, then your money on this aspect is well-spent if you opt to hire an SEO consulting firm to promote your website for you.

A final word of advice: If you decide to hire an SEO consulting firm or individual, choose carefully. While rates should be one of the criteria for SEO consulting firm selection, equally important should be experience and reputation. Do not be blinded by bargain and low priced offers that are too good to be true. If an SEO consulting firm practically gives away its service, you should be really wary. You could end up spending more than you bargained for in terms of damage control efforts, money, time, and lost opportunities if the SEO consulting firm you select is the wrong one.

Secrets Of A Successful Marketing Partnership

Posted on 28. Aug, 2009 by admin in chiropractic marketing

I recently received an interesting e-mail from a gentleman in the UK asking if marketing partnerships really work. He had approached a number of potential partners and many expressed interest in forming partnership, yet nothing got done.

There seems to be quite a bit of interest right now in marketing partnerships. It is about time. Businesses can set up and implement very successful partnerships, but the process is long-term. Partnerships do not generally produce significant results quickly.

What A Marketing Partnership Is

A marketing partnership involves two or more professionals, companies or salespeople who have common prospects, similar marketing needs, and possibly complementary services. These entities join forces for mutual marketing and sales, usually within a specific market sector or for specific prospects. This does not mean they lose their individual identity. More than likely, each will continue to market and sell outside the partnership.

Marketing activities may involve:

? Creating joint marketing materials
? Joint direct mail, e-mail or advertising campaigns
? Joint sales calls
? Referring of prospects
? Possibly even combining services, talents and assets to create new services

An example of a potential marketing partnership would be an accountant, estate attorney, financial planner, and insurance agent. By combining forces, these professionals can, at least in theory, coordinate and help guide an individual’s affairs without the potential of conflict, jealousy, or competition. And, again, each individual professional benefits from wider exposure, more referrals, and marketing that is more efficient.

Virtually every professional and company has opportunities to create marketing partnerships. Although the most visible partnerships involve large, publicly traded companies, partnerships offer tremendous potential for even the smallest of companies or single practitioners.

What A Marketing Partnership Is Not

A marketing partnership is neither a quick fix for sales problems, nor a way to eliminate the burden of marketing and sales.

Although some marketing partnerships may be elaborate formal legal entities, most, especially with smaller companies and individual practitioners, are informal devices that enhance each partner’s marketing reach–their combined efforts allow both partners to meet prospects’ needs they may not have otherwise been able to meet individually.

In a partnership both parties must assume responsibility for marketing the joint venture. A partner who expects to ride the back of the other partner will quickly find himself alone.

When considering a partnership, there are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Your Partners Help Define Your Reputation And Position

When you enter a marketing partnership, whom you choose to join forces with directly impacts your sphere of influence, marketing potential and reputation. Each partner’s reputation “rubs off” on the other. In addition, your marketing reach is enhanced-or limited-by the other side’s.

Consequently, you should take care when approaching someone as a partner. As the initiator, you have the advantage of choosing providers you want to join forces with. Since the ball is in your court, pair with businesses that have the reputation you want for yourself and the market reach you desire.

Careful selection of partners can rapidly establish a relatively new company or professional as an expert or serious player within their local industry. Likewise, poorly selected partners can just as quickly damage a reputation.

2. Partners Want Real Value From The Partnership

When you initiate a marketing partnership, the professionals and companies you approach will want to see results before they become enthused. You will have to sell them on the idea that the partnership will produce real benefit for them, not just for you. In addition, they will not want a new free “soft” service to provide their customers. They will want a real profit benefit.

So approaching them with the idea that they can refer a client with a need to you and thus provide a “service” to their client will not cut it. The partnership must offer them bottom-line dollars. Even then, they will not fully participate until they have experienced some benefit and see that it works. That means you must be prepared to give before you receive.

3. Your Commitment is Key

As the initiator of the partnership, you not only have the luxury of approaching those potential partners you believe will enhance your status, reputation and business potential, but you also must assume responsibility for its success. You will have to do the vast majority of work, at least at first. You will be dealing with people who may like the concept and want it to work, but they will be skeptical. You will have to carry the ball and show them that you are committed to the partnership-and, again, that it will produce results.

The quickest way to achieve full buy-in of partners is to have a client or two ready to go as soon as your partner prospect agree to the partnership. Nothing gets the attention of a new partner like immediate business–and it demonstrates that you are serious in your commitment to them and not simply looking to mooch off their business.

Many, if not most, marketing partnerships fail to live up to their promise because the initiating partner forms the partnership with unrealistic expectations. If you are looking for a quick fix to sales problems, an “easy” way to get business, or are looking for a one-way referral connection, a marketing partnership is not the answer.

Nevertheless, if you are committed to building a long-term partnership that can vastly increase the prospecting and marketing capabilities for all concerned–and eventually the sales pipeline–a well constructed marketing partnership can work wonders.

Online Marketing Business Opportunity

Posted on 28. Aug, 2009 by admin in chiropractic marketing

Have you thought about starting your own business? Have you started one and are having challenges with marketing, fear of failure, fear of success…I could go on and on. Has the question, Now what? ever entered your mind? If so, I would like to share my story with you. A journey, from corporate to business owner and everything in between.

After working in the corporate field for 25 years, an opportunity presented itself to start my own business, to work out of my home. I found a fulfilling profession in personal and business coaching. I love working with others helping them to achieve a better life for themselves. Although it was my choice to develop my own business, I did not have the marketing experience and desire I needed to build that client base. The truth is, I disliked (kind word) marketing, I didn’t want to sell and I knew I didn’t have what it takes to achieve this part of my business…or thought I didn’t have what it takes. The fact is, if I had a dollar for every time I said, “I’m not a marketing person,” I wouldn’t have to market my business; I’d be set for life.

I did the typical routine of sending some letters of introduction to my friends and business acquaintances, giving away sample coaching sessions and making a few calls that felt safe. I even put a few ads in the paper. I soon came to the reality that the phone was not going to ring and people were not going to approach me while I was sitting comfortably at my desk. Then a turning point came while I was standing in my office one afternoon. I realized I just wasn’t a person that could be an independent business owner – what was I thinking that I could do this? I decided I should quit and go back to an office job. At that moment I heard a voice; it was very clear. “If you quit before you’ve given it 100% you will be very disappointed in yourself for the rest of your life.”

I thought I’d give it one more try. How was I going to do this? I asked myself two basic questions. What did I need and what did I want? The answers I received were simple. I needed movement and I wanted color. At that point that was all I knew. I decided to trust that these answers would forward my direction in marketing and building my business. About one week later I drove past a juggling academy in Burnsville MN. Color, movement – I signed up. I started with a juggling class, networked with friends and business peers and developed a monthly call with other business owners about “manifesting” what you desire. I started looking at me; what made me tick, what energized me and when was I at my best. This became a time period of self-discovery. I had been so tied up in who I thought I wasn’t, I had forgotten who I was; a great team player, a great partner, the queen of brainstorming and resource extraordinaire. I thrived from the energy of others to help build my business. I needed diversity to keep things interesting and took a look at what really interested me. What were my strengths and what made me unique? I also looked at what was giving me energy and what was taking my energy. I decided to cut loose a part of my business that was draining rather than energizing. About 2 weeks later “marketing On The Playground^(TM)” was born. I had created the space for what was supposed to come in by releasing what wasn’t working.

About 1-½ years have passed since I allowed myself this self-discovery time and gave myself permission to market my business “my way”. My business has blossomed into: 1) writing a booklet, “Marketing On The Playground^(TM).” 2) developing playshops and teleclasses to help others struggling with marketing their business 3) creating retreats for entrepreneurs that need time to get away and develop their ideas.

Here’s the bottom line. Discover what works for you. It should be an extension of your own strengths, passions and uniqueness. You have chosen to be in your own business; that took guts, passion and a desire for making a better life for yourself. Tell me again why you don’t think you have what it takes to market your business? If you have passions, interests, the strength, and I do mean strength to step into this world and set your own course, you have what it takes to market your business. Now, it’s just a matter of finding what works for you.

What was my secret for overcoming obstacles? “True” belief. Belief so strong that you are willing to stand up and overcome anything and everything that challenges your vision.

A Few Marketing Tips: . Give yourself “permission” to follow your own style as an extension of yourself. . Network and Market Through Your Strengths, Your Passions and Your Uniqueness. . Trust Yourself – You are the only one who has Your own unique talent to market Your business. . Look at what’s working and what’s not – If it’s not working do you need to cut it loose? . Believe in Yourself, and “Be”Yourself.

what would be the best low cost marketing strategy for a beginning business?

Posted on 28. Aug, 2009 by admin in chiropractic marketing

we are doing our feasibility studies and i’m a management student, im not really familiar with marketing strategies, hope you can suggest something, really appreciate it, thanks!

First off, you need to create an online presence (aka, a website). Yahoo charges $12 a month to host a website for you, and they make it very easy to publish the page within minutes.

Second, you should sign up for Yahoo! and Google’s Pay Per Click Word Ads. This will help drive people to your website, and you can dictate how much you want to spend per day. Another good one is MyPoints.com, which advertises for you to a demographic you select.

Third, you should sign up with affiliate companies (like Commission Junction) where you pay a commission to businesses and individuals when they sell your product for you. (This is free to join, and you dictate the commission amount.)

Fourth, if you have a product you are selling, you should sign up to show your product at a trade show. This could cost $1,000 to go to, but you can sell enmasse immediately.

Fifth, you should open an "e-store" on ebay and list your products there. This costs a couple bucks per item to sell.

Lastly, you should try to get your local newspaper, and other newspapers around the country, to print a press release regarding your business. This costs the price of the Press Release, which you can put together yourself.

These are the fastest and most basic options for any business that wants to get their products to market.

Hope this helps.

I have a £500 budget to get best marketing idea for mortgage brokers firm! Any ideas welcome!?

Posted on 28. Aug, 2009 by admin in chiropractic marketing

Basically my manager has given us a budget and we need to come up with advertising and marketing ideas to promote our firm. We are a small firm of mortgage advisors. I have done the norm, like mailshots to existing clients, leaflets etc. Help!

Put a big sign next to the Welfare collection saying:

"Well Lend To Anyone – It’s Not My Money"

If tha doesn’t work, try investing on online marketing. Heck, start answering some questions here on yahoo and refer them to your site… how does that sound?

(You can tell your manager you spent the money doing that… then just got to the pub with some mates and spend it there)

Has anyone heard if Microsoft is working on a new video game console?

Posted on 28. Aug, 2009 by admin in video marketing,

The xbox360 must be close to ending it’s run. Does Microsoft have plans for a new video gaming system? Are they working on a new system at the present time? The assumption is that Microsoft has no plans to get out of the video game market so it’s logical to assume they must be working on something new. Has anyone heard any rumors about a new Microsoft gaming system?

im sure that they are working on something, but it wont be for a long while before we hear about it. they are still devoting a lot of time and money on making the 360 not break as much. and with how much money they make off of the 360 i can guarantee that they will have something for the next evolution. but like sony they are in this system for the long haul. probably for another 5 years at least before we hear about anything. this generation is still pretty young.

What do you want done with your social media sites after you die?

Posted on 28. Aug, 2009 by admin in social media

Social networking sites are having to devise policies to deal with the death of a user – and some are getting it more right than others

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2008/aug/07/socialnetworking.myspace

It would make sense to describe what you want your friends or family to do in your will. Include your user names and passwords for FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter, FriendFeed, Orkut, LiveJournal, Bebo etc so that people can follow your wishes.

Whether you choose to delete the accounts completely, or allow others to post memorial messages is up to you, but for the first time in human history we have a digital legacy that will out-live us.
