What is national literacy strategy intended impact on classroom practice and management.? HELP?

Posted on 15. Sep, 2009 by admin in practice management,

The purpose of the strategy is to raise standards of literacy. The framework for teaching sets out teaching objectives for Reception to Year 6 to enable pupils to become fully literate. The Literacy Hour is designed to provide a practical structure of time and class management which reflects the structure of teaching objectives in the NLS Framework. The framework provides details of WHAT needs to be taught and the Literacy Hour is the MEANS of teaching it.

The intended impact is that whole school plans are developed for the teaching and learning of Literacy, for monitoring progress and for staff development. There is one hour per day of dedicated literacy teaching time for all pupils and hence a clearer focus on literacy instruction.

With regards to classroom practice teachers need to use a wide range of teaching strategies: modelling, demonstration, scaffolding, questioning, initiating and guiding etc. etc. The Literacy Hour consists of time for whole-class shared reading and writing, whole-class word level work, guided reading and writing, and independent work.

What are the pros and cons of using Sustainable Development Practice in Operations Management?

Posted on 12. Sep, 2009 by admin in practice management,

A sustainable effort of the management consists of a long-term and integrated systems approach to developing and achieving a healthy community by balanced environmental, economic, social, and cultural issues.

The definition of Sustainable Development doesn’t support the quantity of economic growth but the quality of an environmental, economic, social, and cultural development.

Where can I get practice on Basic Website Design and Management?

Posted on 06. Sep, 2009 by admin in practice management,

I’m considering signing up for a certification program in Basic Website Design and Management. Courses and books cover programs such as Javascript, CSS, Dreamweaver CS3, etc. I don’t have the money to purchase programs like Dreamweaver right now.

What programs are available to me for tinkering for free? I want to purchase a book or two and work on these skills before I choose to sign up for the program. Any other suggestions, such as books to buy, are helpful as well.

I maintain a page of links to client-side programming resources at:

http://home.comcast.net/~richarduie/

There links to (free) tools, online learning resources and articles, books (not free, but they are the best of breed), related to CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, etc. – all the non-proprietary aspects of web-dev. Start there.

No Dreamweaver (proprietary, commercial)

what is best practice in the strategic human resource management SHRM model?

Posted on 28. Aug, 2009 by admin in practice management,

The best practice model is one of 3 models used in the strategic management of people. I’d like to understand how this links in any wayi f it does with "employment partnership".

I am not sure of the answer but thanks for asking that one. I have been a fond believer in business for a long time now. I do not know if the Deming’s theory would apply here or not. I do know that health care business administration is in high demand now. Here is a link that might help you, good luck :)
