How can an average person create and market a video game?
Posted on 21. Sep, 2009 by admin in video marketing,
I want to make a MMORPG, and i have the ideas all written out. however, I do not know how to program, I’d have to hire a company, right?
And can I just buy existing graphics or physics engines or something? how much would it cost?
How would I get servers to run the game?
Thanks
its pretty hard, u can use flash program, or java script, or a visual basic program, how ever u have to publish it and it wont be so exiting, anyways if it is really good, u have to make ur own company there is no such thing when u go to a company and ask them to do iot for u, u have to cover the prices, any way if u want a game like generals, counterstrike, halflife, sime, etc…. those programs wont work. if ur idea is so facinating u can give it to ea games and ask them if they will publish it but it is unlikley,
Why doesn't Valve make a marketing ploy out of the video game Half Life, like Bungie did with Halo?

Because Valve is a respectable company and not stupid.
Can any pocket video cameras on the market record as good a quality video as a mini dv camcorder?
Posted on 17. Sep, 2009 by admin in video marketing,
My mini dv camera is dead, I want to replace it, but I don’t know if I should by another full size camcorder or one of these pocket ones. Video quality is more important to me than quick and easy.
I would be buying a low end mini dv camcorder, vs an HD flip video cam
I guess it depends on the camcorder – but most likely not. Since you did not tell us which miniDV tape based camcorder, this is only a guess – and we don’t know if you are comparing a high definition pocket cam. But it is likely the pocket cams all have smaller lenses and imaging chips – and we already know they compress the digital video data more than DV format does…
Less compression + larger lens + larger imaging chip = better video quality.
I have a great idea of a new fitness video, tell me what you think?
Posted on 15. Sep, 2009 by admin in video marketing,
The fitness video market is flooded with crap right now, I’m thinking I could add some flavor to it by joining sex with fitness. For example, just think of your lady friend doing the naked squat while her male partner is "spotting" her from (or in) the behind? Or how about situps with a little treat on the up and another on the sit? See, do you think this might sell?
If it had a good plot I’d buy it
What would you consider to be the most important milestone in video game history?
Posted on 12. Sep, 2009 by admin in video marketing,
Would you consider it to be the first largely successful arcade game that being Space Invaders (only to be dethroned by likes of Pac-Man and Donkey Kong), when Atari entered the home video game console market, when Nintendo helped revive a doomed market, the next gen console wars between Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and Sega, online gaming, the fully interactive video game system like the Wii, gaming on home PCs? What is your take?
Pong.
Video email marketing software recommendations?
Posted on 09. Sep, 2009 by admin in video marketing,
I am preparing to start a video campaign – some instructional/explanatory on how to use our site, some entertaining promotional, and some pitching for other businesses to partner up…
I’m pretty proficient in creating videos, but I need a way to make them look professional to viewers, as simple as clicking a link for them to open, and be able for me to track the results. I would prefer software that automatically notifies me when the recipient watches the video, so I can follow-up immediately (i’ve heard of software that can do that).
I also wouldn’t mind if the software had video conference and live chat features.
I have a mac.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

In your opinion, what is the most popular video that is currently out in the market?
that is easy for PC it is hands down WOW(World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade), a good one for the PS2 is FF12(Final Fantasy 12), for DS is Pokemon Diamond, and for the Wii I have to say The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
What are some decent webcams on the market for video chat?
Posted on 03. Sep, 2009 by admin in video marketing,
With the holidays coming up I would like to keep in touch with my family through video chatting.
FYI: Dedicated webcams are getting pretty slick, more affordable and have increased compatibility, but one thing many folks don’t consider is a camcorder will do the same work with better quality (usually) if they have ‘firewire’
If you have such a critter in your inventory, see what kinds of software configurations you can get, and perhaps use it plus save a couple of bucks.
One slick freeware app. is "Broadcaster StudioPRO" enables you to broadcast video files, desktop activity or streaming video via your webcam. The program acts as a virtual camera drive, and you can configure any webcam application (e.g Yahoo Messenger, Live Messenger, Skype etc.) to use the Broadcaster driver instead of your regular camera. Broadcaster will then act as a proxy between your webcam and the application, allowing you to switch between live webcam capture and broadcasting of saved files, or even desktop activity. In addition, the program also enables you to broadcast to multiple applications, allowing you to use your webcam with more than one messenger application at the same time. Broadcaster StudioPRO can also be used to record video playback from other media players or web browsers by placing the recording frame over the video area and recording it. The video can then be saved as MPEG, MP4, AVI or VOB file. The program offers some unique features, we particularly liked the ability to send desktop activity via Live Messenger (or other applications). The lack of detailed documentation however will make it difficult to use for novice users.

Has anyone heard if Microsoft is working on a new video game console?
Posted on 28. Aug, 2009 by admin in video marketing,
The xbox360 must be close to ending it’s run. Does Microsoft have plans for a new video gaming system? Are they working on a new system at the present time? The assumption is that Microsoft has no plans to get out of the video game market so it’s logical to assume they must be working on something new. Has anyone heard any rumors about a new Microsoft gaming system?
im sure that they are working on something, but it wont be for a long while before we hear about it. they are still devoting a lot of time and money on making the 360 not break as much. and with how much money they make off of the 360 i can guarantee that they will have something for the next evolution. but like sony they are in this system for the long haul. probably for another 5 years at least before we hear about anything. this generation is still pretty young.
